Project background
CR110 forms part of Singapore’s Cross Island Line Phase 1. The contract covers the tunnel connection between Tampines North and Defu stations and was awarded by the Land Transport Authority to Nishimatsu Construction Co., Ltd. Its large-diameter bored tunnel is designed to accommodate two railway tracks in a single bore. The wider contract also includes a facility building and underground basements for electrical and mechanical services.
